Job Summary
Senior Infrastructure Engineer responsible for providing advanced cyber security services for the county's interconnected E-911 and CJIS networks. Responsibilities include Cisco firewall configuration and management, core router and switch configuration, vulnerability scanning/remediation (Nessus or equivalent), patch management, vulnerability research, and remediation for interconnected equipment. Role involves creating detailed technical documentation and reporting, troubleshooting and maintaining L3 networking, and working with IDS/IPS technologies on Linux and Windows platforms. The position leads IT projects, coordinates timelines and resources, and provides after-hours on-call support. Requires strong knowledge of information security management, applicable laws/regulations, project management, and communication skills; CJIS background check and valid driver’s license are required. A high school graduation and a minimum two-year certificate in data processing/computer science/microcomputer or related field are required, with senior-level experience in network security and Microsoft networking as an alternative pathway.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Information Systems
- At least 2 years of computer systems security administration experience
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Requires a minimum of a two-year certificate in data processing, computer science, microcomputer or related field
- Successful completion of a CJIS background check
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
