Job Summary
Senior Industrial Security Specialist at The Boeing Company in Herndon, VA. Responsible for executing Internal Security Controls through compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure adherence to government and company regulations, identifying deficiencies and implementing corrective actions, and conducting administrative inquiries to determine non-compliance. Protects government, intellectual, third-party and company information from unauthorized disclosures; develops and administers security education; prepares concept of operations outlining unique security protection requirements for sensitive operations; coordinates with enterprise IPTs, engineering, management and government customers to support contract execution; drives innovations in Personnel Security and security awareness training; contributes to subcontractor management to ensure regulatory compliance; performs tasks toward long-range security goals and supports export control processes. Requires Tier 5 SSBI within last 5 years or Continuous Vetting, 5+ years in Industrial Security and related fields, ability to obtain/maintain SCI/SAP access, and willingness to undergo polygraph; preferred Bachelor’s or military experience and experience with NISPOM, ICDs, and related security frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as an SSBI, within the last 5 years or enrolled in Continuous Vetting within the last 5 years
- 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security
- 5+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to SCI and/or SAP access
- Willingness to submit to a U.S. government polygraph examination
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher or military experience
- Experience with the National Industrial Security Procedures and Operations Manual (NISPOM)
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced security environment
- Willingness to perform occasional second-shift or after-hours work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience handling Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access
- Polygraph examination willingness
