Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on injection molding, blow molding, automation systems, and support equipment to maximize uptime. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and controls-related failures, including PLCs, robotics, and vision systems. Rebuild auxiliary equipment such as pumps and heat exchangers while supporting engineering projects through installation, modification, and optimization of manufacturing technologies. Coordinate daily labor planning, prioritize work, and serve as a technical lead for troubleshooting efforts within the Plastics Manufacturing Engineering Team. This on-site role in Indianapolis requires a team leader with deep plastics machinery expertise to drive continuous improvement and ensure facility reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience coordinating maintenance activities

- Communicating equipment status to operations
- Serving as a technical lead for troubleshooting and repair efforts
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation, and industrial controls systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Ability to read and interpret product drawings
- Ability to read and interpret OEM documentation
- Associate degree (or equivalent technical training)
- 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Ability to safely use diagnostic equipment
- Ability to safely use precision measurement instruments
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbs
