Job Summary
Standardize and document best-in-class operating procedures across the logistics network using Lean and process improvement principles. Implement new innovations across multiple facilities and develop labor management systems with related analytics and reporting. Analyze performance data to identify root causes of gaps and partner with Operations, Safety, Quality, and Finance to support strategic supply chain initiatives. Design dashboards to track performance and measure improvements through ROI analysis and KPI monitoring. Apply methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen to enhance efficiency and reduce costs per case. Requires Lean Six Sigma certification, 3+ years in industrial engineering, and 75% travel. Full-time role at Family Dollar Distribution Centers.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
- Expertise in work standardization, time studies, MOST, or equivalent labor standard tools
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships in cross-functional environments
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and MS Access
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, based on project requirements
- Willingness to relocate within the U.S. to one of our eight Distribution Centers
- BS Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar Industrial and Process Engineering role, ideally in fast-paced logistics, distribution or fulfillment environment
Desired Qualifications
- A background in distribution operations, labor management, and performance optimization is preferred
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) preferred
- Experience with labor management systems (LMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Ability to work within ambiguity and drive results with limited direction and oversight
- 5 years preferred
- Location: Marianna FL (preferred)
