Job Summary
Cover all aspects of industrial design from concept to production, developing new items and enhancing existing ones while managing high-priority projects from concept to implementation. Conceptualize high-level product ideas through sketching, mockups, 3D CAD, and presentations, then gather consumer insights via user testing to inform decisions meeting safety standards. Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Costing, and Compliance teams to define features, ensure brand consistency, and coordinate with PMO to meet shipping schedules. Mentor interns and oversee project completion using expertise in soft goods, electronics, and hard goods manufacturing techniques like injection molding. This role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial Design and 5+ years of experience, with mandatory proficiency in Solidworks, Illustrator, KeyShot, and Photoshop.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Industrial Design
- 5+ years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of soft goods, electronics and hard goods
- Profound understanding of various manufacturing and molding techniques such as blow molding, injection molding, rotocast, and compression/liquid injection molding
- Proficiency in Solidworks, Illustrator, KeyShot and Photoshop
- Enthusiastic, self-starting, committed and excellent time management skills
- A team player with exceptional communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
