Job Summary
Senior Industrial Designer on the Front-End Innovation team leads design efforts from discovery to concept development, translating research into visual models and frameworks, facilitating workshops, creating prototypes and story-based communications, and collaborating with engineering, product management and research to deliver human-centered design solutions for Milwaukee Tool in Brookfield, WI.
Required Qualifications
- BS or BFA in Industrial Design, Visual, Experience or Service designs required
- Experience: 5+ years of consultancy or corporate experience in Design or Innovation teams
- Advanced level experience in User Centered Design and Innovation mindsets, tools and techniques
- Behavioral research practices, strategic thinking, problem solving
- 2D and 3D design tools to create concepts
- Translate user research into design Principles and product criteria
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders from new grads to Senior Leaders
- Model making / rapid prototyping
- Familiar with generative AI visualization software
- Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to lead design efforts on front-end projects
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills
- Collaborative cross-disciplinary teamwork
- Experience with field research and ethnographic methods
