Senior Incident Responder / Threat Hunter

Job Summary
Lead structured monthly threat hunts, documenting hypotheses, rationale, methods, findings, and recommended detection improvements. Perform proactive threat hunting across telemetry sources to detect, identify, and neutralize malicious activity that evades traditional perimeter controls. Support incident response, reporting, and resolution activities by conducting technical investigations and forensic fact-finding for suspected security incidents. Gather cybersecurity threat intelligence from open and closed sources to integrate findings into hunts, detections, and operational alerting. Perform day-to-day continuous monitoring telemetry reviews and log analysis to support ongoing threat detection and event tracking. Identify gaps in detection coverage and recommend improvements to reduce risk and improve visibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Must be eligible to maintain a security clearance in compliance with federal contract requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Active DOE Q or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance
