Job Summary
Draft and manage complex contracts across global jurisdictions, making judgment calls on acceptable risk when standard provisions fail. Own high-stakes litigation strategy and external counsel for novel fintech disputes where precedents are unclear. Create scalable governance policies for regulatory compliance and data privacy while partnering with engineers to automate contract drafting and legal research. Advise senior stakeholders on cross-border licensing and commercial objectives, translating complex legal requirements into practical guidance for product launches and partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- qualified legal professional
- 6+ years in corporate legal
- experience owning complex matters
- experience providing legal advice when the safe answer was 'no' but the business needed 'how'
- understanding of fintech law in practice
- knowledge of how regulations work when technology moves faster than legislation
- comfort with AI and automation
- ability to use AI tools already or willingness to learn to automate legal processes
- ability to assess risk without killing momentum
- commercial pragmatism
- ability to help business make informed decisions with sound judgment and accountability
- ability to explain legal complexity in plain language
- ability to translate legal requirements into guidance that engineers, product managers, and executives can actually use
- strong English communication
- multi-jurisdictional experience advising global organizations
