Job Summary
Conduct complex tariff classification, HS/HTS determinations, and ECCN assessments for semiconductor equipment, spare parts, and electronics. Review and validate broker filings, customs documentation, and trade remedy applicability while acting as the primary interface for CBP inquiries and audits. Design, document, and continuously improve import/export processes, SOPs, and governance procedures to standardize global operations. Develop Power BI dashboards, exception reporting, and compliance analytics to monitor KPIs, identify regulatory risks, and drive data-driven decision-making. Partner with Legal, Logistics, Supply Chain, and regional teams to lead trade compliance projects, implement automation initiatives, and support internal and external audits. Monitor regulatory changes and present risk assessments to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and import documentation
- Solid understanding of ECCN classification, EAR requirements, and restricted party screening
- Experience responding to customs audits and regulatory inquiries
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Experience within semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or other technology industries
- Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years
- Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years
- Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
Desired Qualifications
- LCB, CCS, CES, or similar certification
- Experience with SAP GTS, SAP, ACE reporting, or trade management systems
- Experience crafting controls, validations, automation solutions, and exception-based monitoring
- Sophisticated Power BI dashboard development and data visualization
- Sophisticated Excel skills including Power Query, Pivot Tables, and XLOOKUP
- Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into business actions
