Job Summary
Conduct complex tariff classification, ECCN determinations, and validate customs documentation for semiconductor equipment and electronics. Act as the primary interface for CBP inquiries, audits, and post-entry reviews while designing import/export processes, SOPs, and governance procedures. Develop Power BI dashboards and exception reporting to monitor trade compliance KPIs and drive data-driven decision-making. Partner with Legal, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams to standardize global processes, implement automation, and ensure adherence to U.S. Customs and export control regulations. Monitor regulatory changes and present risk assessments to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and import documentation
- Solid understanding of ECCN classification, EAR requirements, and restricted party screening
- Experience responding to customs audits and regulatory inquiries
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Experience within semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or other technology industries
- Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years
- Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years
- Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
Desired Qualifications
- LCB, CCS, CES, or similar certification
- Experience with SAP GTS, SAP, ACE reporting, or trade management systems
- Experience crafting controls, validations, automation solutions, and exception-based monitoring
- Sophisticated Power BI dashboard development and data visualization
- Sophisticated Excel skills including Power Query, Pivot Tables, and XLOOKUP
- Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into business actions
