Job Summary
Senior Import Analyst responsible for processing and managing customs entries, ensuring import compliance with CBP and PGA rules, handling high-urgency imports (PAPS), resolving holds, coordinating with carriers and government officers, submitting ACE/ABI documentation, and communicating complex trade requirements to customers and internal teams. Requires licensed US Customs Broker, extensive import brokerage experience, HTS classification expertise, and proficiency with ACE/ABI systems; the role is hybrid and based near Champlain, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed US Customs Broker (LCB)
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of import brokerage experience
- Experience with Pre arrival processing system (PAPS), Ocean, Air, and ISF filings
- Expertise in HTS classification using GRIs, section/chapter notes, and valuation
- Knowledge of CBP, FDA, and PGA rules and regulations
- Proficiency with ACE, ABI, and customs brokerage software
- Experience responding to CF-28 and CF-29 notices
- Strong data analytics and technical acumen
