Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Ignition Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of SCADA and IIoT solutions. Responsibilities include designing Ignition-based systems, acting as the technical lead on architecture, configuring PLC/SCADA networks, and mentoring other engineers. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, substantial hands-on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition, strong skills in Jython, SQL, and JavaScript, and familiarity with UI/UX design principles. Current certification in Ignition and collaboration abilities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in the control system industry
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (Perspective, Vision, SQL, Tag Historian, Scripting)
- Extensive knowledge of advanced Ignition concepts, including system architecture, scripting, and integration best practices
- Strong development skills in Jython, SQL, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles
- Strong understanding of controls systems
- Ability to develop PLC and HMI programs in one or more languages
- Experience commissioning in live environments
- Current Gold certified in Ignition
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with GMP and GDP or working on projects or in facilities regulated by the FDA.
