Senior Identity Security Engineer - Microsoft Entra & AD (Costa Rica)

Job Summary
Senior Identity Security Engineer leads technical delivery of AD migration/consolidation and identity modernization for enterprise customers. Acts as primary technical lead, mentors delivery resources, and drives implementations involving Active Directory, MIM, Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect, Entra Cloud Sync, and federation technologies. Oversees automation with PowerShell, collaborates with Project Managers on timelines and risks, and provides technical oversight and client-facing support across multiple engagements from discovery through delivery. Remote role based in Costa Rica; requires current residence in Costa Rica.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years experience with Active Directory administration, engineering, and design
- Strong experience with AD migration, consolidation, and restructuring initiatives
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), including synchronization and identity lifecycle management concepts
- Experience with hybrid identity solutions including Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect / Azure AD Connect, Entra Cloud Sync, and federation technologies
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Experience with AD migration tools such as ADMT, Quest Migration Manager, ForensiT, or similar enterprise migration platforms
- Solid understanding of Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and authentication protocols
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills
- Experience working in enterprise consulting or professional services environments
- Azure infrastructure and cloud architecture experience
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID Governance and identity governance concepts
- Microsoft certifications such as SC-300, AZ-500, AZ-305, or legacy MCSE certifications
