Senior Hydraulic Engineer

Job Summary
Lead the delivery of technically complex hydraulic designs across major building projects, ensuring compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and local authority requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers, technicians, and designers to solve technical challenges and ensure integrated, high-quality project outcomes. Partner with project managers and team leaders to align on priorities, resourcing, and program delivery, contributing to project success and team performance. Engage directly with external clients to define project scopes, manage expectations, and deliver practical engineering solutions. Mentor and support junior engineers and designers through technical guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing to build team capability and excellence. Strong focus on building services hydraulic design expertise, documentation, and client-facing delivery within defence-related projects; based in Perth with hybrid work options.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered status or working toward professional registration
- 5+ years’ professional experience in building services or hydraulic engineering
- Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, specifications, reports, and drawings for hydraulic systems
- Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards, Fire and Rescue requirements, and local authority approvals processes
- Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, and relevant hydraulic design software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
