Job Summary
Install new HVAC systems, perform regular maintenance, and repair malfunctioning units by diagnosing issues and replacing defective parts. Test and troubleshoot installations to ensure proper operation while inspecting existing systems for potential problems. Consult with customers to provide expert advice on heating and cooling solutions and accurately document all work performed, parts used, and future maintenance recommendations. Manage company equipment, including the work van and tools, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining required certifications through continuing education. Work primarily Monday through Friday with occasional evening or weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of HVAC experience
- Completion of HVAC technical training program
- Equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the job
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of testing equipment and techniques
- Ability to use various hand and power tools common to the trade
- Work primarily Monday – Friday during normal business hours
- Occasional evening or weekend work
