Job Summary
Service, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC systems, building automation systems, and DDC controls while performing preventive maintenance on rooftop units, air handling units, heat pumps, and chillers. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, remove or replace faulty components, and maintain boiler and chemical treatment systems. Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, manage parts inventory, and maintain accurate work order documentation. Support training for apprentice technicians and communicate with internal customers, vendors, and leadership. Follow all safety policies and report unsafe conditions immediately. Work a 40-hour week with occasional overtime for peak periods.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of field experience with complex commercial HVAC systems, including air handling units, building automation systems, and DDC controls
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Experience with commercial refrigeration systems and EPA 608 certification
- Experience with rooftop units, heat pumps, cooling towers, boilers, closed-loop systems, AC split systems, chillers, controls, and heavy commercial or industrial systems
- Ability to use email, Microsoft Office applications, building automation software, and work order systems
- High school diploma or GED
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions
- Ability to obtain certification to operate forklifts and other Lands' End motorized vehicles
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week and be available for weekends or overtime as business needs arise
