Job Summary
Conduct preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including troubleshooting malfunctions and installing replacement equipment per manufacturer specifications. Analyze operational data to verify equipment function and provide recommendations, while maintaining accurate service logs, timesheets, and expense reports. Lead apprentices and co-workers by enforcing electrical safety standards and conducting safety training sessions. Read blueprints and technical schematics to diagnose issues, ensuring all work adheres to EPA and OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years HVAC experience working on commercial or industrial HVAC equipment /systems
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, HVAC Apprenticeship Program
- EPA universal refrigeration license
- OSHA 30
- FDNY Fire Watch and Burning Permits
- Clean Drivers License
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations
- Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems
- Basic mathematical abilities in all units of measure
- Read blue prints and technical schematics as well as specification manuals
- Must be well organized to keep accurate service and maintenance records
- Must communicate effectively to determine needs
- Must follow all electrical safety standards and procedures
- Must be able to train and coach apprentices and co-workers
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally
