Job Summary

Senior HR Manager leading HR strategy and execution for a 1,500+ employee automotive manufacturing plant. Drive organizational transformation, high-performance culture, leadership development, and workforce efficiency. Partner with plant leadership to align talent, culture, and organizational capabilities with operational objectives. Key responsibilities include HR modernization (recruitment, payroll, performance analytics, HRIS), organizational design and restructuring, change management, labor and union relations, negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, compliance with Mexican labor law, and overseeing HR operations (recruitment, pre-payroll, compensation, benefits) for ~2,200 employees (unionized and staff). Leverage Lean principles, data-driven decision making, and governance to drive productivity, quality, safety, and employee engagement. Skills in Workday/SAP, union negotiations, leadership development, and strategic partnering with plant leadership are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10–15 years of progressive HR experience
  • 5+ years in senior HR leadership within automotive manufacturing
  • Experience in large-scale operations (+1,000 employees)
  • Experience with HR systems (Workday, SAP, or similar)
  • Lean Manufacturing principles & audit/compliance frameworks (IATF 16949 preferred)
  • Mexican labor law
  • Union negotiations and labor relations
