Job Summary

Manage a wide variety of Human Resources functions including employee relations, training, benefits, compensation, wellness, audits, and special projects. Coach managers on employee issues and administer disciplinary action while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. Develop and implement employee strategies, lead confidential investigations, and represent the organization at unemployment hearings. Drive continuous improvement using LEAN methodologies, analyze data to recommend process enhancements, and prepare career development plans to retain an accountable workforce. Travel between sites across San Diego County as an essential function.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or closely related field
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience across all HR disciplines, including Total Rewards, Risk Management, Employee Relations, Workforce Planning and Employment, and Workforce Development
  • Traveling between sites and other locations
  • Must have a car
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law
  • An acceptable driving record
  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to meet changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-workload environment
  • Ability to capture, analyze, and interpret statistical data
  • Ability to provide actionable recommendations, improvement ideas, and countermeasures based on analysis

  • Ability to defuse and de-escalate issues and conduct conflict resolution
  • Exceptional level of knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to human resources and employment
  • Ability to communicate and educate those regulations to all levels of employees and managers

  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and techniques, including performance management and employee development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
