Job Summary
Senior HR Generalist responsible for overseeing full-cycle HR in a nonprofit environment, including talent acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, benefits support, compliance, safety, training administration, records management, and engagement initiatives; coordinates with CEO and external HR providers; requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years HR experience (nonprofit preferred); California driver’s license; background check and drug screen.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five or more years of HR experience, with at least two years in nonprofit preferred
- Advanced computer proficiency, including HRIS, payroll, and data processing systems
- Valid California Driver’s license that is insurable on the company vehicle insurance policy
- Clear background check, drug screen, and negative TB test required
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership, coaching ability, and experience working with diverse populations
- Analytical mindset with proactive HR solutions
- Demonstrates sound judgment and maintains professional boundaries while carrying out personnel oversight and project responsibilities
- Ability to promptly and transparently communicate with the CEO regarding violations or risks related to the Codes of Conduct
- Maintains professional relationships with staff to prevent bias or favoritism
