Job Summary
Develop and execute regional HR strategies aligned with business goals while partnering with executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and risk management. Establish consistent HR standards, governance, and operating practices across the East Coast region, overseeing payroll accuracy, compliance, and audits. Coach branch managers on HR matters, manage employee relations investigations, and prepare disciplinary actions with VP approval. Oversee compensation, benefits, and performance management programs while maintaining HRIS integrity and delivering executive-level workforce reporting. Foster a compliant workplace culture, support leadership development, and equip managers with effective training tools. This office-based role in Brooklyn, NY requires up to 25% regional travel and occasional work in operational warehouse environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience within a complex organization
- Experience overseeing payroll in partnership with Finance or external providers
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law, wage and hour regulations, and compliance
- Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
- Advanced experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- High level of judgment, discretion, and executive presence
- Ability to travel up to 25% throughout the region
- Ability to work in operational environments, including warehouses, as needed
