Job Summary
Conduct frequent safety walks and inspections of the project site and adjacent property. Perform site-specific safety orientations and manage emergencies, incidents, and worker's compensation claims. Create, update, and maintain the Project Environmental and Safety Management Plans while facilitating the Sundt Safety Management and Illness Prevention Systems Manual. Review and file all project safety documentation. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various computer software, with bi-lingual skills preferred. Candidates must wear personal protective equipment including hardhats, steel-toed shoes, and gloves, and may stoop, kneel, or climb ladders. The position involves interacting with people frequently during the shift and lifting objects up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma minimum
- At least one year of full-time project safety experience
- Good written and verbal communication
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Special skills: able to use various computer software and apps proficiently
- bi-lingual
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
- Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis
- Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day
