Job Summary
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes while maintaining accurate employee files and processing employment contracts. Manage monthly payroll, attendance, and leave systems, ensuring statutory compliance with Kenyan labor laws and NSSF/NHIF requirements. Handle grievance cases, union meetings, and workplace investigations alongside health and safety record-keeping and PPE administration. Oversee performance appraisal cycles, training logistics, and HRIS data integrity while preparing biannual board papers and workforce analytics reports. Lead annual budget preparation, third-party vendor coordination, and cross-functional projects including farm compound inspections. Serve as the ESG Compliance Officer to manage investor ESAP requirements and risk mitigation actions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- CHRP (Certified Human Resource Professional) certification or equivalent HR professional certification
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive HR experience
- Strong working knowledge of Kenyan labor laws, employment regulations, and statutory compliance requirements
- Demonstrated experience in handling employee relations, grievances, and working with unions
- Hands-on experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in MS Office Suite (particularly Excel for data management and reporting)
- Experience coordinating payroll processes and managing employee benefits administration
- Track record of maintaining accurate records and delivering high-quality HR administrative support
