Job Summary
Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's vision and business objectives while ensuring full compliance with California and multi-state labor laws. Build and optimize scalable HR operations, including payroll, benefits, performance management, and compensation structures. Strengthen employee relations by resolving conflicts and driving engagement initiatives. Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to support rapid growth. Partner with executives to design organizational structures and drive compliance reporting and audits. This role reports directly to the CEO in a fast-growing e-commerce firm specializing in Korean specialty foods, requiring bilingual Korean and English skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HR management experience
- proven expertise in both strategic planning and hands-on execution
- Bilingual in Korean and English
- Strong understanding of California and multi-state employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated success implementing HR systems and scalable process in high-growth or startup environments
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization with high levels of ownership and problem-solving skills
