Senior HR Generalist

Job Summary
Own the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding. Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies and handbooks compliant with U.S. and Canadian employment laws. Partner with department leaders on employee movement and manage benefits administration, focusing on U.S. open enrollment, plan design, vendor management, and ACA reporting while supporting Canadian programs. Liaise on payroll matters, monitor time cards, and support employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution. Lead talent review cycles and equip managers with tools for effective goal-setting and development conversations. Monitor labor law compliance across North America and prepare regulatory filings such as EEO-1, OSHA, and state new-hire reports. Champion culture and engagement initiatives for a distributed, multi-country team. Serve as a trusted advisor to the Head of Human Resources on people strategy and day-to-day matters.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of HR experience
- at least 4 years in a generalist capacity
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience managing HR across multiple countries or jurisdictions
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment law
- Must be based in the U.S.
- ability to work effectively across time zones with the North American team
Desired Qualifications
- an HR certification (e.g., CHRP, PHR, or SHRM-CP)
- Experience in a contact center or BPO environment within a mid-size organization
- familiarity with Canadian employment law
- East Coast location
- Candidates residing in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Tennessee
- Experience helping build an HR function from the ground up, or significantly maturing an existing one
- Familiarity with outsourcing/BPO industry norms and multi-country compliance requirements
