Job Summary
Senior HR Generalist (Benefits) administers employee benefits programs across the U.S. and Canada, including enrollments, life events, terminations, and leave programs; serves as primary contact for benefits inquiries; leads annual open enrollment and benefits communications; partners with brokers and vendors to enhance offerings; ensures compliance with ACA, COBRA, ERISA and related requirements; administers leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA accommodations, parental leave); supports onboarding/offboarding, HR policies, HRIS data integrity, payroll-related activities, and employee inquiries; collaborates with Head of HR, Accounting, external vendors, managers, and employees to maintain effective HR operations across the United States and Canada; preferred qualifications include Canadian benefits experience and HR certifications (SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) and experience with Namely, Workday, ADP, UKG or similar HRIS platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with significant responsibility for benefits administration and HR operations
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employee benefits programs and related compliance requirements
- Experience working with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
