Job Summary
Conduct thorough, confidential workplace investigations involving misconduct, harassment, and discrimination; document findings and prepare corrective action reports. Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, policies, and performance management while resolving grievances and supporting labor relations activities. Administer unemployment claims, represent the organization during hearings, and monitor trends to reduce expenses. Maintain data integrity within the HRMS, facilitate retention and exit interviews, and prepare weekly analytics reports. Ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Health regulations, track employee credentials, and coordinate site audits. Partner with operational leaders to drive process improvements and foster a productive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5–7 years progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience in employee relations, investigations, labor relations, and compliance
- Experience supporting regulatory compliance and audit activities
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience conducting complex workplace investigations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a cooperative team member by building positive relationships, communicating openly, supporting colleagues, sharing responsibilities, and contributing to a collaborative work environment focused on achieving departmental and organizational objectives
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with HRMS platforms and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Good vision and hearing
- Ability to lift 20 pounds, bend, stoop, sit for 1-2 hours at a time, walk up stairs
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare industry experience
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and ODH standards
