Job Summary

Senior HRBP for CHG Group, Inc. (Chemring US) serving as the deputy to the Chief People Officer, providing HR support across CHGI and U.S. business units. Partners with CPO, BU leadership and HR teams to deliver talent management, organizational development, employee relations, benefit and regulatory compliance, workforce planning, and employee engagement to maximize HR impact across the U.S. and align with corporate initiatives. Responsibilities include leading or supporting enterprise-wide HR programs (culture initiatives, organizational design, change management), providing policy interpretation guidance, ensuring compliance with regulations and labor laws, driving talent management processes (succession planning, leadership development, key talent pipelines, performance management), coaching leaders in employee relations, aligning HR strategies with operational priorities, collaborating with BU HR teams on compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and learning, developing and implementing HR initiatives and procedures, leading change management and organizational development programs, monitoring HR metrics, leading major HR projects, ensuring consistent policy application, and supporting cross-functional committees and CPO in communicating HR vision. Skills emphasized include strategic influence, communication, problem-solving, project leadership, data-driven decision-making, and a strong understanding of HR regulations and compliance, with ability to obtain/maintain security clearance and travel as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • HR Professional Certification is preferred; ability to gain certification within 12 months of hire is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience and knowledge in full scope Human Resources disciplines
  • Significant experience as an HR Business Partner supporting leadership
  • Aerospace and defense industry and government contracting experience is strongly preferred
  • Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance
  • Proven experience in HRBP roles within the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, coach and build trust with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgement in sensitive or ambiguous situations; demonstrated capacity for managing complex projects and driving organizational change
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR regulations, compliance standards, and industry-specific requirements
  • Ability to represent the Company positively and professionally through behavior, attitude and communication
  • Strong team player and willingness to create solutions and accept ownership for new and different requests
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, and talent management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
  • Demonstrated success leading complex HR initiatives and cross functional projects
  • High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information
  • Exceptional attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and ability to independently perform multiple assignments
  • Self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines and prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
