Job Summary
Coach and mentor the branch team on products and services while collaborating with bankers to meet customers and introduce them to additional offerings. Build strong partnerships with assigned retail branches to promote mortgage loan originations and function within formal and dotted-line reporting relationships. Develop your role as an internal and external mortgage expert by exhibiting consultative skills to provide recommendations based on financial analysis, product knowledge, and customer needs. Utilize centrally managed direct mail, media advertisements, cross-sell efforts, and electronic newsletters to create an outstanding customer experience. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of mortgage lending experience, and NMLS registration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales and/or real estate
- 3+ years of mortgage lending and proven sales experience in retail banking
- Knowledge of real estate market in local area
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines
- FHA/VA sales experience
- Marketing, promoting, relationship building, and consulting skills
- Intermediate PC skills in a Windows environment
- National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008
- Successful registration immediately after start date
- Timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter
- Demonstration of financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position
- No felony conviction within the last seven years
