Senior Histopathology technician

Job Summary
Senior Histopathology Technician responsible for macroscopic and microscopic preparation, examination, and analysis of tissue samples for GLP studies in support of nonclinical laboratory work for medical devices. Duties include tissue processing (fixation, embedding, sectioning, staining, mounting, imaging), operating and maintaining lab equipment (microtomes, tissue processors, staining stations), collaboration with QA and Study Director to ensure regulatory compliance, data review and corrective actions, preparing GLP study reports for regulatory submissions, and ongoing professional development in histopathology techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.) in laboratory science, biology, neuroscience or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of related GLP, clinical laboratory, and/or medical device experience
- Broad understanding of GLP policies and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA)
- Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory animal science, toxicology, and histopathology
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize to company timelines, drive innovation
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent written, reporting, and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
