Senior Highways Engineer

Senior Highways Engineer responsible for leading technical delivery of highways and/or active travel projects within AtkinsRéalis' Midlands Highways and Active Travel team. You will contribute to nationally significant highways and infrastructure projects (e.g., M42 WCML, M25 junction 10) and work with a diverse portfolio of local authority schemes, developing and coaching engineers, technicians and apprentices, reviewing work, and supporting business development through bids and client relationships. The role emphasizes flexible/hybrid working, development of multi-disciplinary teams, and collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders. Requirements include a BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering (or professionally qualified, near Chartered/ Incorporated Engineer level), experience in highway/active travel design, and proven ability to coach and develop team members. Security clearance may be required, with UK security vetting processes applicable.
