Senior Highway Engineer

Job Summary
As a Senior Highway Engineer, you will lead the development of highway designs on multi-disciplinary projects and ensure compliance with budget, programme, technical standards, and legal requirements. You will mentor junior staff, support project managers, coordinate engineering resources, and engage with clients and stakeholders. The role requires a strong passion for design and innovative engineering solutions, alongside expertise in road geometry, junctions, highway drainage systems, and relevant design software.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience within a highway design role
- Knowledge and experience of highway design on multi-disciplinary projects and/or drainage systems
- Experience of complying with Designers Duties under CDM regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer preferred or working towards IEng or CEng status with a relevant professional institute
- Knowledge of relevant design codes such as the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, TSRGD, Local Authority design guidance
- Experience using Autodesk Civils 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, InfoDrainage and/or PDS
