Senior Highway Engineer

Job Summary
Lead the preliminary and detailed design of transportation projects for the MTO. Prepare technical reports, contract documents, design drawings, quantity estimates and cost estimates. Provide leadership, guidance and support to junior engineers and technical staff. Work with local and regional teams to create and submit proposals for new highway projects. Foster relationships with clients and stakeholders. Oversee consultants, subcontractors and field staff to ensure timely project delivery. Requires a Licensed P.Eng designation in Ontario and a minimum of 10 years of highway design experience, with strong familiarity with MTO standards and OPSS/OPSD/TAC guidelines. Hybrid work schedule offered.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed P.Eng designation in Ontario
- Minimum of 10+ years of highway design experience with an MTO focus
- Strong working relationship with the MTO
- Experience preparing designs for multi-lane highways, collector roads, interchanges, and intersections
- Proven experience with Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications (OPSS), OPSD, TAC standards, and MTO design standards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders
