Job Summary
Senior Healthcare Consultant bridging clinical workflows and technical deployment to support a client's technology initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison between clinical stakeholders and technical teams, develop and document clinical resources (location inventories, stakeholder registries, workflow guides), assess device requirements to support workflow efficiency and compliance, identify and manage integration risks related to device deployment and interoperability, provide expertise in healthcare interoperability including FHIR APIs and EMR integration strategies, ensure secure patient record exchange and regulatory compliance, support digital health solutions (e.g., Ocean by CognisantMD) to enhance data collection and workflows, and strengthen analytics for evidence-based decision-making. Requires a clinical background and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of healthcare consulting or health IT experience, proficiency with EMR systems, knowledge of interoperability standards, experience with health data privacy requirements, and strong communication skills to bridge clinical and technical teams. Must be comfortable in a role that may be hybrid with some travel to Atlantic Provinces, and that offers remote work flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Care, Public Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, digital health, or health IT
- Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, OSCAR)
- Knowledge of interoperability standards (FHIR APIs, HL7)
- Experience with digital health tools and regulatory knowledge (PHIPA, PIPEDA, HIPAA)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with health system transformation projects or large-scale digital health rollouts would be an asset
- Ability to bridge clinical and technical teams
- Willingness to travel within Atlantic Provinces
- Hybrid work capability and remote work flexibility
