Senior Healthcare Accountant

Job Summary
Lead month-end close, payroll, and financial reporting while maintaining accurate records and strong internal controls. Coach and develop the Billing and Authorization team to improve collections, reimbursement performance, and revenue cycle efficiency. Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and healthcare regulations, including tax filings and audit support. Manage the accounting function to provide financial insights that drive business decisions for a growing healthcare organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
- Healthcare accounting experience
- Experience leading month-end close, payroll, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls
- Leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop employees
- Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, EMRs, and practice management software
