Senior Hazardous Waste Operations Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day hazardous waste operations at the Casa Grande, AZ facility, managing fuels blending, lab pack decommissioning, and hazardous waste solids consolidation. Direct staff through training and mentorship while ensuring all activities comply with regulatory standards and safety protocols. Coordinate with the Plant Manager to optimize processes and manage inventory of incoming and outgoing materials. Lead rail logistics activities, including relationships with rail operators and downstream kilns, and maintain rotating on-call responsibilities for emergency response. Build partnerships with local agencies and state departments to support environmental compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10+ years' experience within the hazardous fuels operations industry
- Specific experience importing/exporting hazardous fuels waste between the nations of Mexico and the United States
- Proven experience in a managerial role with strong leadership and team building skills
- In depth knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes
- Possess strategic, rail transportation, planning, warehousing and rail logistics, problem analysis, and creativity skills
- 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper Certification w/ current 8-hr refresher
- D.O.T. Hazardous Materials Training
- Able to obtain and maintain a fork truck license
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
- Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
- Must be able to put on and take off personal protective equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred
- Expertise in all MS suite applications with strong Excel skills
- Excellent math skills
- Education: Bachelors and/or Master's degree preferred
