Job Summary
Senior Hardware Network Fabric Development Engineer responsible for designing, simulating, validating, debugging, and optimizing high-performance electrical systems for HP’s network fabric. Lead design and assessment of 100+ gigabit/s electrical and optical links and memory interfaces; create and execute simulation models, correlate models to lab measurements, and establish PCB signal integrity rules including stackup and connector pinout. Drive issue resolution through hands-on testing and documentation through test plans and reports. Requires 10+ years in high-performance electrical design, experience with Ethernet/Infiniband, signal integrity, and proficiency with tools such as HFSS, Ansoft, and Allegro; scripting skills (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash) are a plus. Onsite role primarily from an HPE office with potential collaboration across a diverse engineering team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
- 10+ years' experience in High Performance Electrical Design
- Experience with Ethernet or Infiniband components and systems
- Experience with Signal Integrity
- Knowledge of electrical design tools (e.g., Ansoft, HFSS, Allegro)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
