Senior Hardware Engineer

Job Summary
Engineer, design, develop, and test new embedded hardware while supporting and enhancing existing systems. Analyze requirements, research solutions, and develop designs, then generate complete user and design documentation. Provide input to architecture and design reviews, evaluate new technologies, and contribute manufacturing technical data packages. Keep current with embedded hardware trends to share knowledge within the team. Participate in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and strong hands-on lab experience. Located in Ottawa, ON, this on-site position offers competitive compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Strong experience in hardware development and hands on lab experience
- Experience working with a multi-disciplined team
- Familiar with a product development process
- Familiar with hardware test equipment -- logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Familiarity with principles of high-speed digital circuit board design including signal integrity concepts
- Design capture tools (preferably Mentor Graphics)
- Requirements capture, analysis, and tracking
- Hobby projects with Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino
- Familiarity with FPGAs
