Job Summary

Design and test digital and analog control systems for RFID and various products, ensuring optimal performance from concept to production. Read and design plans to build electrical systems on a variety of products and machinery, while analyzing designs to designate necessary equipment for data collection. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance, and interact with users to define system requirements and necessary modifications. Evaluate and synthesize experimental tests and their results, utilizing expertise in embedded microprocessors, microcontroller-based systems, and high-speed printed circuit design. Lead architecture and platform development for fixed, handheld, and hands-free RFID readers across diverse environments including retail, warehouse, and production lines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in embedded system design & hardware development
  • Experienced in DSP/ARM based hardware development, integration, and testing
  • Experience in design of digital and analog systems and various other products
  • Strong hardware and system knowledge
  • Schematic capture layout in high-speed interfaces and RF experience
  • Location- ***Role is required to be onsite in Holtsville, NY office (Hybrid- Minimum of 3 days in the office per week)

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Skilled in C, C++, and python
  • Proven record of successful project contributions
  • Strong participation in architecture and platform development
  • Manufacturing and cross-functional team interaction and support for project completion
  • Regulatory testing for non-RF requirements, debug and standards support
  • Basic knowledge in wireless communications
  • Strong team player and communicator
  • Broad knowledge of modern digital systems
  • Experience with the constraints imposed by battery operated systems
  • Experience with a variety of common digital interfaces at the PHY level, including RS232, USB, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, SDIO, etc.
  • Expert in the use of test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Working knowledge of PCB schematic capture - Cadence knowledge is a plus
