Job Summary
Drive end-to-end system development for next-generation portable electronic systems as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, make design decisions regarding System-on-Chip (SoC) pinouts, and ensure cost-effective manufacturing. Utilize hands-on experience with system integration to lead system bring-up efforts. Proficiency in hardware design and development focused on consumer electronics, schematic capture, PCB design, and system debugging in lab settings is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in hardware design and development, with a focus on consumer electronics
- Proven track record of delivering successful platform reference designs
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using tools like Cadence
- Strong understanding of system power delivery, stackups, and RLC component selection
- Hands-on experience with chipset bring-up, system validation, and troubleshooting in a laboratory environment
- Aptitude for failure analysis (FA) and debugging system-level issues
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in a related role
- Experience leading socket-based Platform PCB design
- Expertise in establishing Board-level Power Delivery Network (PDN) and Signal Integrity (SI) specifications
- Experience with battery-powered, wireless, or embedded hardware
- Knowledge of various buses and signals, including I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, I2S, and USB
Additional Requirements
- Travel Requirement: A maximum of two trips to Asia may be required over a one year period.
