Job Summary

Oversee HACCP/HARPC systems and SQF/GFSI-aligned programs in the facility; develop, implement, and maintain plant food safety and quality programs (HACCP, HARPC, SSOP, SOP) and ensure compliance with customer specifications and labeling. Lead daily monitoring of required documents, supervise quality auditors, coordinate government and customer audits, and provide training to FSQA staff. Collaborate with corporate and facility teams to maintain SQF/BRC certification, engage with customers for plant tours/audits, and ensure overall product safety and regulatory compliance. Travel as needed (approximately 1–3 trips/year); manage FSQA staff, support laboratory functions, and assist in program development and continuous improvement. Proficient in communication with hourly and management staff, government officials, and customers; capable of handling audits and nonconformance reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • 2+ years HACCP implementation and sanitation experience in a food processing plant
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs
  • Certifications: HACCP/HARPC certifications are preferred, or the ability/willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in facility environment including physical requirements
