Job Summary
Lead navigation system design for Anduril products end-to-end, including cradle-to-grave ownership of navigation architectures; analyze mission requirements to determine optimal navigation system configuration; support evaluation and integration of advanced navigation aiding sources through lab, motion, and flight tests; conduct simulations and tests to validate navigation algorithms and system performance; perform Kalman filtering and sensor fusion across INS, GNSS, cameras, LiDAR, and other sensors for aerospace platforms (UAS, missiles, spacecraft); collaborate with GNC, Flight Software, T&E, and product leadership to integrate navigation software and hardware into real-world flight systems; contribute to development of estimation methods (Extended Kalman filters and other techniques) and calibration procedures; requires strong programming and cross-functional collaboration skills; candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance; salary range $166,000–$253,000 USD with equity and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Guidance, Navigation & Control engineering or related technical experience
- Experience with navigation system design, development and testing on aerospace systems
- Proficiency in MATLAB & Simulink, C/C++
- Strong knowledge of navigation principles including inertial navigation and GPS
- Experience with inertial/non-inertial sensing modalities (INS, GNSS, vision-based, odometry)
- Experience with Kalman filtering and estimation techniques
- Experience with real-time systems and embedded software development
- Current Top Secret clearance eligibility (preferred)
