Job Summary
Senior Group Underwriter responsible for risk selection and pricing of Group Life, Disability, Health, Dental and Critical Illness benefits in the Sun Solutions market (greater than 50 lives). Collaborates with sales to meet pricing and profitability objectives, renewals and quotations, and assesses new business opportunities. Develops understanding of products, underwriting guidelines, pricing methodologies, and marketplace; builds strong client and sales relationships to align client needs with risk profiles and pricing. Requires 4+ years of experience, strong numerical/analytical skills, and ability to balance profitability with growth; role includes potential math assessment during interview and a hybrid work arrangement between office and remote locations.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Group Underwriting experience
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to negotiate and make decisive timely decisions
