Job Summary
Coordinate production activity in assigned work areas, ensuring product is processed according to build schedules while prioritizing daily tasks with minimal oversight. Act as interim supervisor during absences, directing team efforts to expediting priority products and adjusting headcount to achieve daily targets. Perform hourly line walks to understand line balance, conduct production reviews for quality assurance, and summarize activities, downtime, and rejects on Production Summary and Line Sheets. Provide troubleshooting guidance for unit or process failures, manage training matrices for new personnel, and ensure adherence to GMP requirements and clean room integrity. Run daily Tier I meetings to focus on goals, quality, safety, productivity, and yield, reporting metrics up the chain. Perform changeovers using station matrices and escalate issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- 6 years of related work experience
- Considerable administrative or creative knowledge of other functions or operations to develop new approaches to issues or problems
- Fluent in MS Office Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to document technical information related to manufacturing incidents and nonconformances
- Ability to read, comprehend and implement lengthy, complex procedures written in English
- Ability to train other operators to procedures, and explain key aspects of JBS
- Ability to train to and achieve standard work and assembly time on multiple stations
- Utilize 5S tools to improve station layout
- Perform changeover from one product type to another, on station using changeover matrix
- Requires comprehensive knowledge of various tools/equipment/fixtures for various product types
- Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures
- Continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
- Continuous walking for prolonged periods (more than 2 hours at a time in an 8 hour day)
- Yes, 10 % of the Time
