Senior Group Financial Accountant (Remote)

Job Summary
Senior-level Financial Accountant responsible for global statutory reporting, tax compliance, payroll oversight, lender reporting, and consolidated financial reporting across US, UK, Australia, and other jurisdictions in a private equity-backed technology business. Own month-end and year-end close processes, prepare accurate financial reporting and reconciliations, maintain strong internal controls, coordinate audits, support consolidated Group reporting, manage intercompany and transfer pricing activities, and contribute to treasury and investor reporting. Requires 10+ years in financial accounting, US GAAP (with IFRS exposure), and a CPA/ACCA/CIMA/equivalent qualification; must coordinate with UK-based teams and external advisors across multiple entities.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 10+ years of progressive experience within financial accounting, reporting, audit, or financial control roles, including experience operating at a senior level
- CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification, with strong US accounting and reporting experience required
- Able to work hours that provide significant overlap with the UK-based finance team, including an 08:00 ET start if US-based
- Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and financial control experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, with exposure to IFRS and international or multi-entity business structures preferred
- Experience supporting consolidated reporting, audits, and compliance activities within complex or international organisation
- Experience with lender reporting, payroll, tax processes, and regulatory compliance activities
- comfortable managing detailed operational finance activities and maintaining accurate financial records
- Strong attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach to work
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams
- Strong spreadsheet and financial systems skills, including experience working with ERP or reporting systems
- Experience working within an international technology, corporate, listed, or private equity-backed business would be advantageous
- Experience gained within a larger accounting firm or corporate finance environment would be beneficial
