Job Summary
Senior Group Sales Consultant based in Wichita, KS, collaborating with Regional Sales Managers to drive revenue growth for group health plans. Responsibilities include informing clients about BCBSKS products and enrollment processes, completing enrollments and contracts, educating group leaders and employees, managing time and follow-ups, recommending benefit changes or new product sales, interpreting system/contract issues for non-standard groups, maintaining records in the sales database, providing timely reports, and ensuring timely premium payments. Travel within the Wichita region is required; ownership of relationships with brokers and prospects, and the ability to close and retain accounts with strong objection handling and product knowledge are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics or related field preferred
- State of Kansas Insurance Agents License within 60 days (and must maintain license through employment)
- One year of outside sales success in a competitive environment
- Previous outside large group health sales and retention success in a competitive environment
- Experience in engaging with customers and handling long-term/high value contracts
- Strong computer acumen and business application
