Job Summary
Senior Graphic Designer available as CONTRACTOR in New York City with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH). Responsible for graphic concept development and production for product lines, websites, and promotional materials, including packaging layouts, mechanicals, comps, and copy support in collaboration with the Art Director and Creative team. Requires a strong portfolio and 10+ years of experience, with emphasis on branding and retail; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Premiere, plus packaging design and production-savvy capabilities. The role covers 2D/3D process understanding, concept-to-final production, and the development of names/taglines for new products. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team are essential; experience in beauty or fashion is highly valued and experience with salon-related branding is a plus. The project scope will vary across small to large projects and requires flexibility and adaptability, with animation skills considered a plus.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years graphic design experience
- Strong portfolio mandatory
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Premiere Pro
- Experience with Figma
- Branding experience
- Retail experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of 2D and 3D processes
- Ability to write copy in support of advertising and promotional programs
- Ability to work independently or within a team and manage production-ready concepts and layouts
