Job Summary
Senior Grants Administrator responsible for managing all phases of the research grant and contract administration for an assigned portfolio of departments; provides guidance, resolves issues, and helps navigate proposal submission and application processes; assists with budget development and interpretation of sponsor requirements; ensures compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines; serves as a department or team grant management expert; trains and orients new staff; supports highest-complexity work and may achieve institutional signing authority.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Related Field of Study
- Experience in research administration 3-5 years required
- Proficient in spreadsheet, database, accounting and other computer applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Good organization and coordination skills
- Ability to work with large financial data sets with accuracy
- Good working knowledge of research agency, sponsor and organization funding guidelines and policies
- Good negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to make good judgements and resolve problems
