Job Summary
Senior Grant Accountant supports government and private grant accounting and financial reporting for a nonprofit foundation. Responsibilities include developing grant and contract budgets with program staff, maintaining multi-year grant budgets in Sage Intacct, producing reimbursement and grant expense reports, posting to the general ledger, ensuring payroll allocation alignment with budgets, and managing invoicing and funder reporting. Additional duties cover budget modifications, grant revenue recognition, subrecipient monitoring and compliance, collaboration with program staff, and assisting with audits and annual closing. Requires nonprofit accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Sage Intacct and Excel.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years nonprofit accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct
- Experience with grant budgeting and reporting
- Ability to prepare financial reports and invoices
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Attention to detail and timelines
