Job Summary
Direct management of sales and sales support activities for staff to implement growth plans and assign appropriate sales goals and assignments. Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals. Coach the sales team by diagnosing areas for improving techniques, providing timely feedback, and optimizing sales successes. Drive results by setting high goals for personal and group accomplishment and tenaciously working to meet or exceed targets. Manage business objectives and negotiate complex sales opportunities within State and Local Government Agencies and Education. Requires twelve years of experience, including five in leadership, with the ability to travel. Hybrid role in Cary, North Carolina, with remote options available for USA-based workers.
Required Qualifications
- Twelve years of experience in sales
- Five years in a leadership role, coordinating and/or supervising technical projects within the technology industry
- Two years in a formal management role
- Demonstrated experience in successfully achieving a sales target
- Previous experience selling into the Government, or experience having worked for the Government
- Ability to travel
- Demonstrated proven record of complex solution selling
- Ability to manage, negotiate, and close multiple complex sales opportunities
- Strong leadership, supervisory, interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated project leadership skills
- Legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for candidates with previous Sales Management experience
